About Merit Precision

We’re Merit Precision, a company providing full Thermo Plastic Injection Molding services in Canada and across the globe since 1993.

Locally owned and operated, our modern 50,000 Ft² head office along with our 20,000 Ft² accompanying Plant 2, is a hotbed of innovation, creating everything from sporting goods and electrical components, to industrial and automotive parts. We specialize in working directly with our customers to bring them the parts they need using our 23 injection molding machines to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.

Plastic is our specialty, and precision is what we provide. Our business was created to fill a void in the industry bringing together a local team of highly skilled individuals into a state-of-the-art environment. While much of the manufacturing industry from the past have moved away, we continue to grow and expand our client base across North America. A Brief History…

Tim Barrie and Dan Bailey co-founded Merit Precision Moulding in 1993 from an existing 30+ year manufacturer.  Since then, our team has worked hard to diversify our customer base, expand our capabilities, and improve our processes and systems.

Not afraid to jump on an opportunity, in 2010 Merit acquired H & J Precision, a company specializing in the manufacture of precision nuclear fuel bundle components for the Canadian market.  Merit acquired not only a successful business, but also some highly skilled employees.

We have been fortunate to partner with some long-term customers, and building on decades of customer satisfaction, Merit purchased G.B. Book Plastics in 2018 to support new customer growth. Now re-structured under Merit Precision Limited, our two plants allow us to efficiently utilize employees, materials, and machines to meet our customers’ needs, every day.

Our Dedicated Team

No two people are alike in our family of 85 dedicated employees.  Perhaps the only trait we all share is a heightened conscientiousness for our customers and for each other.

You’ll find our small team to be very hands-on, relying on data, with near instant communication of customer concerns and some people wearing a few different hats.
